INCOMING MOBILITY

Various scholarship programmes offer funding opportunities for incoming students and staff.

Institution’s measures to support, promote and recognize staff mobility:

As it is our institution´s goal to permanently grow, modernize and improve our practice, as well as our international co-operation, we are quite aware that we need to support professional improvement of our staff in order to achieve our goals. In case of staff mobility, the Academy agrees to find proper substitutes during the period of mobility of our staff members. Those staff members who participate in mobility shall have the period of mobility recognized as a component in any process of evaluation and assessment. Furthermore, the Academy shall encourage the staff member to share his/her mobility experience with colleagues and all those who are interested in knowledge and experience the said staff member gained during the mobility. The said staff member shall actively participate in the process of disseminating the results of mobility as a part of the school promotion strategy, as well as for the purpose of promotion of the strategy of internationalization and further encouragement of colleagues and students to gain experience through mobility.

So that a member of the staff can concentrate on the goals and outcomes of the mobility itself, the Academy shall take care of removing possible distractions. The substitute shall be provided so that everything functions without interruption at the home institution. Likewise, everything necessary will be arranged for the outgoing staff member: travel arrangements, accommodation, visas if necessary, health and travel insurance, language support prior to mobility, etc.

Staff members at our Academy are encouraged to take part in international co-operation. As we are quite aware that internationalization is a prerequisite of keeping up-to-date with modern flows in education which leads to quality improvement, we encourage our students/staff to improve their language skills through our optional language courses which are offered throughout the year. Likewise, our staff and students are encouraged to resort to Erasmus + OLS to check and improve their language skills.

Our Academy is a small one and since the initiation of the Erasmus + we have not had the opportunities or the capacities to apply for projects, but we have been invited to take part as partners, not merely within this action, but also within the Tempus Programme. In those instances we tend to employ all interested parties to actively contribute to the successful completion of a project. Our students have had the opportunity to travel to various European countries and learn from the examples of good practice. Our staff is encouraged to learn from our European partners and thus introduce ideas which would help improve our own institution. Likewise, our staff and students are encouraged to attend workshops and info days organized for the purposes of learning how to apply for projects.

Those who have the opportunity to gain experience in international projects share those experiences with their colleagues and peers, encouraging them to take part in those actions. The dissemination process never ends, as we constantly keep promoting the ideas, practices and ideals of the gained experience. For the staff members participation in projects is usually recognized through incentives and career development possibilities, i.e. promotions provided the results of mobility are properly disseminated. On the other hand, students are given the opportunity to gain once in a lifetime experience, improve their language skills, as well as their professional knowledge, skills and competences.
